My sculptures are made of a "mud" of earth and acrylic resins formed over welded or hand-built armatures. Because I use earth from special sites all over the world, each piece is infused with a spirit of place. My feelings for the earth and our natural environment are very strong. Ancient cultures with their rich traditions also influence my work greatly. My subjects are beasts, earth mothers, and other mythic figures.
