The scars and flaws that nature has provided become the artistic focus of the objects he creates. His vision challenges us to see the beauty in the imperfections in the world around us. Joe has spent the last 12 years of his life perfecting his talent and skill turning artistic wood vessels. He has studied with some of the foremost artists in the world including David Ellsworth, Richard Raffan, John Jordan and others. His work has been shown in the Reno area at the Metro Gallery, the Nevada Museum of Art, the McKinley Arts and Culture Center. His art objects are part of the collections of art patrons throughout the United States. Additionally, Joe has created some special pieces called "Jewelry for the Home" in collaboration with jewelry artist Barbara Uriu.
