Kathleen Durham

Lots of changes this year in Underwood. ...... You may remember that the Undersinkers moved in under my kitchen sink last year. I’m happy to say that they didn’t stay there very long. They realized that life would be far more exciting if they moved in with the Underfolk So they found an old cupboard in the Under the Porch Room and moved right in.

Uncle Lysol and Grampa Pete Trap have been busy fixing things in Underwood. Grandma babysits for baby Comet. Mama Windex fits right into Underwood kitchen with Auntie Pasta and Zia Zita. She’s especially good at making stews. Little Nosalie Marie has taught her papa Drano to use my computer! I notice they still keep a couple of sponges and dishrags in their new home to give it that under-the-sink aroma.

The mice are learning to dance this year, and Fred Mouse has gone to Cheese School in San Francisco. He is writing his memoirs now. The thirteen Icelandic brothers have settled in nicely after a rocky start -- but that’s something we’ll talk about at Story Hour this year.
