I create my unique ceramic sculptures and pottery using wheel thrown and slab construction techniques. Sculptural pieces are fired at a variety of temperatures and may include some mixed media elements. These elements are chosen with care to help make the piece resonate with a shared cultural experience that often makes people laugh. Porcelain and white stoneware are the clay bodies used.

A Truckee, California resident since 1981, I currently operate a pottery studio in my home. I draw my inspiration from the events and experiences of daily life the as well as the beauty of the surrounding Tahoe and Great Basin areas and their abundant life forms. Currently work includes a wide variety of narrative sculptural pieces and functional forms in raku, sawdust, pit fire, as well as high-fired functional ware.
